Pacific Anthropology
at the Field Museum
Would you like to use the marae?
The Pacific anthropology team here at the Field is resolved to make our marae a multicultural place of encounter for the people of Chicago, and those who visit us from all over the world.

As such, we often hold cultural events and performances in this space, including several from our Philippines co-curation program.

The marae, and Ruatepupuke II, are open to all museum visitors during our regular hours. If you would like to hold an encounter or event at the marae, contact us.

Children and groups are welcome! But please be respectful of the space and its meaning during your visit.
